QuestPilot

Help

Answers to common questions. Your organization may use its own words for seasons, crews and quests; for anything about your organization itself, ask one of its organizers.

For members

How do I sign in?

Go to your organization's own site (its address looks like yourclub.questpilot.net) and sign in with your email and password, or with Google if the sign-in page shows that button. Signing in on one organization's site doesn't sign you in on another's. Forgot your password? Use Forgot password? on the sign-in page.

How do I join my organization?

Through an invitation email from an organizer, or a sign-up link or QR code they share. Some organizations let anyone who signs in join. If you signed in and see that you're not a member, ask an organizer to invite you.

How do I complete a quest?

Open Portal, pick the quest, say what you did, and add proof: up to 5 photos, PDFs or short videos (15 MB in total), or a link. An organizer reviews it and approves it (sometimes with a different number of points) or sends it back with a note. Some quests can only be done a set number of times; one that isn't approved doesn't count toward that.

Who can see what I upload?

You, the organizers who run that season, and your organization's admins. Files are never public.

Where do I see points?

Your own points are on Portal. Signed-in members can see everyone ranked on Standings, and seasons with crews have a crew scoreboard, which the organization may show to everyone.

Can I choose which emails I get?

Yes, on your email settings. Emails about your account itself, like password resets, always come.

How do I delete my account or my data?

Ask one of your organization's admins, or email privacy@questpilot.net. See the Privacy Policy for what we keep and for how long.

Reviewing submissions

Review lists what's waiting in the seasons you run. Approve, change the points, or reject with a note (emailed to the member if your organization turned that on). When a quest's limit is reached you can still approve it on purpose; that's recorded.

Adding people

Admins invite people from Admin → Manage Users. Organizers can also make a sign-up link with a QR code to put on a slide, so people join the right season (and crew) on their own. Roster moves people between crews and resets passwords.

Announcements and emails

Messages posts announcements (for members or for everyone, optionally pinned) and emails members. Admins decide whether coordinators may email.

Your site's look, words and features

Admins set the colors, logo, the words used for seasons, crews and quests, and which features are on, under Admin → Organization Settings.
